The Office of Scientific Research

The Office of Scientific Research at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow, was established by the Rector’s decision of 1 October 2007 and reports directly to the Vice-Rector for Science, Development and International Cooperation.

The Office aims to:

- Encourage participation in various projects, assist in selecting an appropriate program, giving advice on completing applications and forms.
- Familiarize all prospective applicants with opportunities and rules of participation in programs subsidizing scientific research activities and statutory activities.
- Share information on funding initiatives at the university (i.e., organization of conferences, symposia, research trips, printing books, etc.)
- Advise on finding the financial resources to promote the university.
- Explain the application requirements for supervisor’s grants, own grants and research grants from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
- Assist students in obtaining information about applying for scholarships from the domestic and foreign sources.
- Assist in establishing cooperation and exchanges with foreign universities.

The website will also provide information on the possibility of obtaining financial support from the EU funds.
