Cracow Men's Choir


Cracow Men's Choir at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Cracow was created on 11 February 2009.
The group consists of students and workers of Cracow universities. Their repertoire comprises pieces of both Polish and foreign composers of all epochs, as well as patriotic and military songs. The group is conducted by an Academy of Music in Cracow graduate – Mr Marcin Wróbel. His assistant and the choir's accompanist is Mr Marek Pawełek, also an Academy of Music in Cracow graduate.
From 6. to 14. July Cracow Men's Choir altogether with "Psalmodia" – the choir of the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Cracow made his first overseas travel. The group participated in the 35th Pueri Cantores International Congress in Stockholm. During this voyage they performed also in Malmö and Szczecin.
In spite of such short activity, Cracow Men's Choir has scored their first success:

• 1st place and The Golden String in the 11th Lesser Poland Choir Competition in Niepołomice in April 2009
• 2nd prize in the 4th Choral Festival "Cantate Domino" in Cracow in May 2009 (1st prize was not awarded)
